Sheerin Ramjan
Deputy Head, EYFS Lead & Designated Safeguarding
Lead (DSL)
Area of Expertise:
Safeguarding, Leadership, Early Literacy, and Early Years Education
With over 20 years of experience in education, Sheerin is dedicated to ensuring that every child learns and grows within a safe, nurturing environment. As the school’s Designated
Safeguarding Lead, she places the highest importance on the safety and wellbeing of all children. Trained across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, Sheerin is passionate about building strong foundations for learning — beginning at home and continuing within our Early Years setting. She leads on English across the EYFS and primary phases, ensuring children develop a strong start in early literacy. Sheerin values the importance of parental involvement and
maintains open, transparent relationships with families to support the best outcomes for children. She also supports staff through training and guidance, helping them deliver high-quality teaching across the prime areas of learning.
Zathan Hussain
Lead Nursery Practitioner
Area of Expertise:
Communication and Language, Early Literacy, and Child Development
Zathan has over ten years of experience working in nursery settings and is passionate about supporting every child to reach their full potential. As Lead Nursery Practitioner, she guides the team in planning engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences that reflect the needs and interests of all children. Zathan has a strong understanding of how children learn
and develop, including the characteristics of effective learning — playing and exploring, active learning, and creating and thinking critically. She focuses on building children’s communication, language, and early literacy skills, fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Zathan is also paediatric first aid trained, ensuring children are cared for safely throughout the day.
Tasneem Akhtar
Nursery Practitioner
Area of Expertise:
Physical Development, Creativity, and Communication Skills
With over ten years of experience working with young children, Tasneem is passionate about supporting every child’s early learning journey. She is skilled in promoting physical
development and creativity, helping children to express themselves and build confidence through movement, art, and imaginative play. Warm and nurturing by nature, Tasneem builds
strong, positive relationships with children and families, creating a safe and welcoming environment where each child feels happy, valued, and ready to thrive. Her paediatric first aid training underpins her approach to care, ensuring children are supported safely throughout their day.
Bushra
​Nursery Practitioner
Area of Expertise:
Nurturing relationships, physical development, and creative play
Bushra has three years of experience in Early Years and supports children’s development through play. She promotes physical development and enjoys leading creative and outdoor
activities that encourage curiosity and imagination. Bushra fosters positive relationships with children and helps create a welcoming environment where they feel happy, valued, and confident to explore and learn. Her paediatric first aid training complements her caring approach, ensuring children are supported safely throughout their day. She also has experience in school meal supervision, helping children feel secure and cared for during
mealtimes.
Nahid Khan

Expressive Art and Design & Early Maths
Nahid has over five years of experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage and has also spent time in Year 1, giving her a strong understanding of how children progress through the early stages of learning. She is a creative and nurturing practitioner who uses imaginative activities to inspire curiosity and make learning engaging. Nahid places great importance on children’s personal, social, and emotional development, helping
them build confidence, independence, and positive relationships, and her paediatric first aid training supports her in providing a safe and secure environment for every child. She has a
particular strength in supporting children as they explore and make sense of the world around them and enjoys developing their early maths skills through play and real-life experiences.
